In this project I explored our bodies as “failure”. In order to bring out these failures of the body, I decided to make a toolkit for a woman with PCOS. This toolkit was an affirmation for myself and others like me. The idea was inspired by ‘fluxus boxes’ as a way to use assembalge to tell a story, this soon took its own shape and was more like a ‘kavad’ - an ancient story telling form in India. I collected stories and experience from other women with PCOS and created a this piece that uses metaphors, illustrations, found objects etc to share this mutual sturggle. The texts were taken from my own medical documents and ultrasounds.
